The General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal organizes study visits at home and abroad with the aim of improving relations with the foreign prosecuting authorities, judicial institutions and international organizations, information sharing and strengthening cooperation. For that, it participates in international conferences and organizes international conferences in Turkey. The Office hosts the foreign delegations and provides information regarding the prosecution system in Turkey and the structure, duties and powers of the General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal.

        Attorney General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mr. Suud Bin Abdullah Almujib paid an official visit to Ankara between 20-23 February 2024 upon the invitation of the General Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeal Mr. Bekir Şahin. The accompanying delegation of Mr. Suud Bin Abdullah Almujib consisted of Member of the Public Prosecution's Council Mr. İbrahim Alfantokh, Head of International Cooperation Prosecution Mr. İsam Alosaimi, and Director of the General Department of Legal Affairs Mr. Suud Bin Libde.
        During the meetings held at the General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal within the framework of the visit, information was given regarding the duties and powers of the General Prosecution Office; evaluations were made with regard to Memorandum of Understanding to be signed in order to strengthen the legal cooperation between two countries; and also, mutual opinions were exchanged regarding the Draft Establishment Document of the Islamic Countries Association of General Prosecutors.
        During the visit, Attorney General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mr. Suud Bin Abdullah Almujib had meetings with the President of the Supreme Court of Appeal Mr. Mehmet Akarca and the Minister of Justice Mr. Yılmaz Tunç.

        General Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeal of the Republic of Türkiye Mr. Bekir Şahin paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain between 12-16 November 2023 upon the invitation of the Attorney General of the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Ali Fadhul AlBuainain. The accompanying delegation consisted of the Prosecutors at the General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal Mr. Hayrettin Türe and Ms. Hülya Eskiçırak.
     During the official meetings with the Attorney General of the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Ali Fadhul AlBuainain, discussions were held on the Draft Establishment Document of the Council of Prosecutors General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and it was decided to submit the agreed Draft Document to the consideration and evaluations of the other countries.
       Within the scope of the visit, General Prosecutor Mr. Şahin and his delegation had meetings with the Vice President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the President of the Court of Cassation Mr. Sh. Khalid Ali Al Khalifa, the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Mr. Nawaf Mohamed Al Maawda, and the President of the Constitutional Court Mr. Advisor Abdullah Hasan Al Buainain. Within the framework of the program, Mr. Şahin and his delegation also visited the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Bahrain Ms. Esin Çakıl and attended the lunch held by Ms. Çakıl in honor of the delegation with the Attorney General of Bahrain Mr. AlBuainain at the Embassy Residence.

Retreat program which is the third of four separate activities envisaged to be carried out by the General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal within the scope of our country’s 2020-2021 chairmanship term for the Southeast European Cooperation Process was held on May 21-26, 2021 in Ankara. Prosecutors from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Moldova, Montenegro and Romania participated in the Program. The delegation consisted of Mr. Arens Çela, Prosecutor, Head of Monitoring Sector in the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Albania, Mrs. Pranvera Pustina, Prosecutor, Director of Cabinet at the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Albania, Ms. Vedrana Mijović, Prosecutor at the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Marina Radović, Legal Officer at the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Emilena Popova and Ms. Steliyana Atanasova, Prosecutors at the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor`s Office of Bulgaria, Mr. Miloš Šoškić, State Prosecutor at the High State Prosecutor’s Office of Montenegro, Mr. Miljan Vlaovic, Advisor of Supreme State Prosecutor at the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Offıce of Montenegro, Mr. Iachimovschi Octavian and Mr. Muntean Victor, Prosecutors at the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office of Moldova, Mr. Voicu Bogdan Felician, Chief Prosecutor-Section for Combating Drug Trafficking at DIICOT - Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Terrorism of Romania and Mrs. Kelemen Narcisa Rodica, Prosecutor at DIICOT - Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Terrorism of Romania.

Within the scope of the Program, information was given about the Turkish judicial system by emphasizing the importance of developing distinctive cooperation mechanisms among the countries in the region and evaluations were made on the fact that the development of personal relations and communication network between colleagues will make a great contribution to strengthen mutual cooperation. Also, the delegation visited Antalya Courthouse and Antalya Regional Court of Appeal.

Within the scope of the program, information was given about the Turkish judicial system by emphasizing the importance of developing distinctive cooperation mechanisms among the countries in the region for an effective fight against transnational crimes and evaluations were made on the challenges in international mutual legal assistance in criminal matters. The President of the Supreme Court of Appeal, Mr. Mehmet Akarca and the General Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeal, Mr. Bekir Şahin received the Delegation. Also the delegation visited the Justice Academy of Turkey, the Regional Court of Appeal and the Beypazarı Courthouse.
