H.E. Mr. Zhang Jun, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China and his accompanying delegation paid an official visit to Turkey between 22^nd and 25^th September, 2018 upon the invitation of Mr. Mehmet AKARCA, the General Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeal.

During the meetings, information was shared about duties and powers of both prosecution services, while pointing out the importance of the judicial cooperation between two countries which have historical and cultural bond, it was also emphasized that cooperation has vital importance for counterterrorism and to combat human trafficking, cybercrimes and other international cross-border crimes and it was indicated that it is believed the judicial cooperation will further enhance between two countries.

Mr. Zhang Jun, the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate and his accompanying delegation were received by Mr. Abdulhamit GÜL,  the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Turkey and Mr. İsmail Rüştü CİRİT, the First President of the Supreme Court of Appeal.

The General Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeal Mr. Mehmet Akarca and the Public Prosecutors at Supreme Court of Appeal Dr. İlknur Altuntaş and Cihan Kahraman participated in the 23^rd Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors in Johannesburg, South Africa on 9-13 September 2018.

Minister of Justice of the People’s Republic of China H. E. Mr. FU Zhenghua and his delegation, who are in Ankara as the official guest of H.E. Mr. Abdulhamit Gül the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, pay an official visit to the General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal on 29 August 2018.  During the visit, the General Prosecutor Mr. Mehmet Akarca gave information regarding the competence and power of the General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal and also both sides discussed about close cooperation in combating terrorism and transnational organized crimes.

Prosecutor General of the Republic of Maldives Ms. Aishath Bisam, accompanied by a delegation, paid an official visit to Turkey on 16-20 July 2018 upon the official invitation of the General Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeal Mr. Mehmet AKARCA. During the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the General Prosecution Offices of both Countries and a presentation was made regarding the structure, duties and powers of the General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal and mutual information and opinions were exchanged.

Delegation composed of high judicial representatives from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are in Ankara as the official guest of the Justice Academy of Turkey, pay an official visit to the General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal on 26 June 2018.  During the visit, presentation and exchange of information was made regarding the competence, tasks and organization of the General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal.
