Preparatory meetings with regard to organization of the 10th European and Central Asian Regional Conference of International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) was held in İstanbul on 19-21 July 2022 with the participation of the General Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeal Mr. Bekir Şahin, Senior Prosecutors of the General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal Mr. Ömer Kara and Dr. İlknur Altuntaş, Secretary General of IAP Mr. Han Moraal, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Heydar Mammadov, Director of the Department of International Legal Cooperation of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Erkin Alihanov, Secondment at IAP, Prosecutor at the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms. Melek Aliyeva.
During the meeting, evaluations were made regarding the program, content and preparation process of the Conference. Document was signed to host the Regional Conference in İstanbul on 2-5 May 2023 by the General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal.
