Online Meetings Organized by the General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal during the Republic of Turkey’s 2020-2021 Chairmanship Term for the Southeast European Cooperation Process (SECP)

The first online meeting which is the second of four separate activities envisaged to be carried out by the General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal within the scope of our country’s 2020-2021 chairmanship term for the Southeast European Cooperation Process was held on “combating cybercrime” on 26 April 2021.

Prosecutors from Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Greece participated in the meeting. Dr. Sacit Yılmaz, Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeal of the Republic of Turkey made a presentation. Mr. Nicolav Popov, Prosecutor at Specialized Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Vladimir Miloseski, Public Prosecutor at the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office Skopje of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Maxim Motinga, Public Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crimes and Special Cases of Moldova, Mr. Valentin Mihai, Prosecutor at the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism of Romania, Mr. Boris Majlat, Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Cybercrime Prosecutor’s Office of Serbia and Mr. Lampros Patsavellas, Deputy Prosecutor at the Court of the Appeal of Corfu of Greece attended the meeting.

During the meeting, legal regulations on combating cybercrime, the best practices, challenges faced in practice and solutions were evaluated by the participants.
